The rising dollar: Food for Thought.
With the value of the dollar rising, multinational stacks take a hit. McDonalds (MCD) has a large global presence and reported slower US sales. Now with the stonger dollar lower international sales could be next. Maybe look at companies that have a stronger national presence like Darden (DRI). Lower raw costs and a nice 3% dividend look like a good place to park some money and get a bite to eat.
Chevron December $75 Calls
I sold the December $75 calls back in October and it seems to be paying off. I plan on keeping the stock at option expiration and selling the March calls. If my option does get exercised I am thinking of buing Kinder Morgan Energy Partners for the 7% dividend.
